I have had extremely tight shoulders and neck for greater than 20 years. I go through ibuprofen by the thousand. This pillow is a little strange at first but it really worked and allowed my neck muscles to relax. For the first time in my memory; my neck and shoulder muscles do not feel rigid.

As many others have commented; you can't follow the pillow instructions about requiring the pillow to be inside the supplied cover. Do that and it gets way too firm. After 7 months I have had to turn the pillow and now use the larger back side, but it is still to firm with the supplied cover. With the current wear I expect to get about 18 months of use out of the pillow. I will make sure I buy another as a replacement before that time. That is a small price to pay for a lot of pain relief. Also there is a styrene smell when you first get the pillow. The smell goes away in a few days, so just wait those few days before using it.

My only caution is that a smoker should not ever smoke in bed with this pillow. The bead are probably made from polystyrene. If they ever catch fire, the large surface area of the beads would make them burn extremely fast.

I have tried a lot of other pillows and the Real Ease neck support, but none have provided any real benefit.
